Wee Kiat + Wai Ling 150209

I guess you can never judge a person from first impressions. When I first met Wai Ling last year, she appeared to be a steady, serious person. And the first time I met Wee Kiat, he was quite quiet and seemed serious as well. Those first impressions kinda scared me somehow if I am going to shoot their wedding. One week before their wedding, when I shot their family portraitures, I began to know them more and found out they can be as crazy as can be, as playful as can be, warm hearted people and that was when I felt so comfortable shooting them on their wedding day.
Their wedding was a mess during games session. Eggs were thrown here and there by the bridesmaids and grooms men. And one of which caught the videographer’s lens and mine as well. Also, the maid of honor’s pricey sunglasses became one of the casulties during that “assault”. So, beware to bring cheap skates stuffs into the war zone during a wedding. Well, besides those crazy and fun parts, there were also a house filled with emotions. Don’t you love to be there capturing all these moments? Well, here are some snippets from their wedding.

Backgrounds are important to making a good picture.

Emotions when the parents closing the veil for their youngest daughter …

A happy groom coming to pick up his lovely wife…

Wee Kiat + Wai Ling Day Out with Family
May 18, 2009 | Filed Under none | 2 Comments

We had a day out with both Wai Ling and Wee Kiat’s families one week before their actual day wedding. We went to KL Sentul Park to do the family portraiture. Both their families are quite out going and am sure they did enjoyed the outing together except for the heat that evening. Wai Ling has two sisters and a brother while Wee Kiat has two younger brothers. Unfortunately, one of Wee Kiat’s brother could not make it back from overseas for their wedding. Here are some shots that I shot that day, some at Wai Ling’s sister’s house while the rest at the park.

Wai Ling’s family, a happy father and husband to four children and a wife.

Wee Kiat’s family, a proud mom and wife to three sons and a husband,

loved this!

Just a couple of Wai Ling and Wee Kiat’s portraiture…

Next up…their actual day wedding photos,
Another photo session with Chia Wee & Raymond

I have an old Honda Accord, in red and rust and I have always wanted to make use of it before I sell it away. So, I proposed to Chia Wee to have this shooting session possible. It was actually a rush one and we had little time to shoot, but then I think we nailed some great photos. I had also the help of Sze and Darren (who joined us later) from Creative Clicks to make this possible. We actually had fun doing this session although I did not manage to totally trash the gown. Oh, by the way, the gown is from That Special Occasion. Here are some of the photos which I would love to share. Thanks to Chia Wee and Raymond for giving me this opportunity to shoot with my old car,

Shot at a “clean” backlane….
