WPPI 8 X 10 Print Competition
November 20, 2009 | Filed Under My Life | 5 Comments
WPPI or known as Wedding & Portrait Photographers International is a well known association in the US. I joined this association earlier few months back to be able to qualified for the 8 X 10 print competition which is opened only for members. Few of our Malaysian photographers got some great standings in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings in different categories. Some of whom are Louis Pang, Kenneth Tan, Shen, Edmund Tham and the list goes on. I, on the other hand, got 5 Accolades of Excellence which I could say satisfactory enough. But I will try my best harder next time and improve myself in all aspects in my photography skills.
Enough said, here are the 5 prints which got me the Accolades of Excellence.

“Motherly Love”

“Love under grills”

“Lady in Red”

“Trapped in Elegance”

“Fly like an eagle”
I would love to thank all the couples who have gave me the opportunity to capture their weddings and also all my loved ones who supported me all this while,

Cassandra and Kelvin was the lucky couple who won a two hours portraiture session with me from a lucky draw in one of the wedding fairs. They were really fun and sporting, doing whatever I asked them to do. We went to the park in Subang, a park which I enjoyed visiting since I first shot there. Just some photos to share,

weee….

Jump of joy for a shooting session well done!
Oh, their wedding has past, congrats and all the blessings for their marriage!

I met both Allan and Faye through Helen from Wedding Hub at a wedding exhibition earlier this year. They wanted something different yet stylish. Allan had arranged the shoot at this mansion situated in a palm estate belonging to Sime Darby nearby Banting area. It was a long trip there but shooting in the mansion was quite an experience as it was built more than 100 years ago. Another prewedding session which is worth sharing,
.

Loved these trees in this area…

Looking smart… These series were done at the attic (sort of)…

One of my fav,

One of my fav location in the mansion as well,

We rushed to Putrajaya Pullman Hotel for some last shoots, finding it was already quite dark then. One of my fav, taken under the stairs.

This loving couple will have their actual day this weekend on the 21st Nov, but unfortunately I could not shoot theirs. But they are in the good hands of Joshua from Inlight Photos.
