2010a

It is time again to look upon the past one year and reminisce what I have achieved so far till now.

And thank each and every one who have made a difference in my life.

And one person whom I would love to thank is my fiancee.

2010 will be the start of another journey… of everything that will last…

Happy New Year to everyone.

I met Filo and Kok Meng during a wedding fair and they were one of two couples whose wedding fell on the 26th Dec 2010 which is my birthdate. And so, they hired me first for their wedding, then their ROM which fell on May 25th and finally their prewedding shoot not far before now. The prewedding shoot was done at the Subang Airport and it lasted for few hours. The weather on the day was gloomy and not even before our shot started it was already raining. We did most of shots indoor and at one point, when the rain was lighter, we went out for just a couple of minutes before it started to pour again.

Alright, here are some of the photos taken at the hangar.

Axxu + Choy Wan = Love Architectured…& + 3 Days of Excitement

Axxu got to know me through my good friend from Penang, Sunnysan. He called me all the way from UK one day asking for my prewedding services. After deciding to hire me, we did not meet till he was back in Malaysia after his studies in architecture. You see, architects and photographers do have things in common, e.g. perspective of a building, angle and composition of a photograph.

First impression when I see Axxu is a well planned person who takes matters in his own hands when he definitely knows he can do it and leave things to other people who are profesional in what they do. In my side, photography. As for Choy Wan, she is more subtle person who loves to smile. And not forgetting, she was so into photo shooting, despite some nervousness at the beginning of our shooting session. I had fun doing their prewedding shoot, and it was at my hometown, Ipoh. First day, we shot at their secondary school, where they started dating. Then after, we went to Papan, a small town near Batu Gajah, where Anna and the King was filmed years back. By then, it was already late evening, and after a short break for dinner, we continued at the KTM Station in Ipoh. It was a tiring day for all of us but the shoot have yet to ceased.

The next day, I have planned out a photoshoot for them for my own project “Trash the dress” in Taiping. We shot in a coal kiln in a small town nearby Taiping. Before that, we stopped by the highway and also executed some shoots as well. By the way, I got to know the coal kiln location from a friend working at Click shop. Thanks to Horng Lih for the recommendation! And that was the second day of our photoshoot.

Thinking that it had came to an end, I was driving in Ipoh town and saw this small carnival or fun fair set up at a remote empty ground. It excites me that this can be a shooting spot as well, but I need a couple. And so, I called Axxu and Choy Wan on the night of the “trash the dress” session asking them were they up to another photoshooting session. Axxu, at first, were tired and needed the rest. But when he told that to Choy Wan, she was eager to do another shoot! I guess she was starting to like photoshooting! And so, on the third day, we went to the fun fair and grab some photos. I had my brother-in-law to tag along to help with the lighting. Thanks, Paul!

Alrighty, enough said, here are the photos taken categorized in the 3 different days!
