D+M = Castle at the top of the hill

I first met Dolores & Martin (D+M) from their friend’s wedding, and a close client of mine whom I call as friend now _ Andrea and Christoph. My first impression towards D+M was that they are two individuals who will be easy to shoot as they are both as loving and emotional. And I was right! During their wedding, Amelyn and I have no trouble getting all sorts of expressions from them.

In September last year, we had a trip to Sienna, Italy to attend D+M’s wedding. From the airport, we had to travel by car to our destination, Castello delle Serre. And this meant we have to study the maps, the road signs (mostly in Italian) and also drove on the right side of the road instead of left.  It was all very challenging for us, added that we reached there slightly late as well and travelling in the dark would be more difficult. After a few hiccups on the way, we managed to get to the castle on top of the hill in this medieval town of Serre di Rapolano and was greeted by an unfamiliar face of Martin and also the always lovely looking Dolores. We really could not recognized Martin from Andrea and Christoph’ s wedding – he looked pretty as lovely as Dolores! 🙂

On the day of the wedding, the weather was cloudy in the morning but later in the afternoon, it was considered a good weather for it was raining few days ago. Let’s get onto the first photo of this entry, the castle on top of the hill, Castello delle Serre.

p/s before I continue, this post will be a long one… just because… 🙂

It was really a nice place to have a wedding. Believe me it was as medieval as it gets but the upkeep of the castle was really well and clean. You can go to their website to pay them a visit, Castello delle Serre.

And this would be the scenery that you can view from the castle.

And a local climbing on top of his house’ roof to fix his antenna, amazing!

And back to their wedding, I had to do this shot distinctly just in case Martin could see the wedding dress Dolores would be wearing walking down the aisle. This was at the top of their room which they were staying.

And this was the venue where all of it would take place – the wedding!

Dolores doing her own make up while…

Relaxed Martin writing his vows before taking a dip in the pool…and then getting ready…

And that’s Max, Martin’s bestman’s son.

And back to the guy’s changing room…

Isn’t he an adorable young boy?!

🙂

And our bride is ready!!!

And the lovely hand bouquet…

Martin waiting ofr his cue to get into the “ring”..You’ll understand soon…

The groom marching in to the song from the movie “The Rock”, hehe…

The handsome ring bearer with three little beautiful flower girls…

And here comes the bride accompanied by her father…

Worth mentioning – we wanted to do a first meet before the actual wedding so that they won’t be so tensed and could show their expression more if in private but due to time limit, the first meet was at the altar…and this was it, where Dolores shed some tears meeting Martin…

Some speeches and more tears…

The family members of both D+M were called upon to do the sand pouring ceremony…

Vow exchanges…

And then the ring exchange…

Loved this photo, on a personal note, this won second place in kids category of the Artistic  Wedding Photojournalism.

Before dinner, we had a quick portrait around the castle and some in the streets…

Martin just could not resist Dolores’s hotness…

Dolores could really bend…really low…while we were shooting this, there were another wedding taking place in a nearby chapel… 🙂 must be a good day to get wed!

Found this corner with the tree and a white scooter, and a nice back flare from behind, lovely!

And a back alley where the nice light is falling…

A bunch of school kids were passing by and looking…was this photo staged? you decide! 🙂

The scene from top when dusk falls in the castle surroundings…

The cake was made by Dolores’s friend.

Let the toast began!

And speeches before…

the P.A.R.T.E.E.E… beguns!!!

Love love love their emotions….

And we shall meet again…for now, let’s recelebrate the joy of your wedding once more! Thanks to both of you for having Amelyn and I being there to capture your wedding. It was tiring but it was all worth the trip there!!! 😀

And here was a highlight video which Amelyn have did for them, enjoy it as I did!
