Last year, I travelled to Zurich to shoot for Faiza and Alex. This year, I traveled to Trivandrum, India to shoot their akad nikah. It was much pleasure to be working with them again but it did not just end in India. Few days later I was in Penang to shoot their dinner reception catered for Faiza’s friends and relatives in Malaysia.

We had a casual and fun portraiture session in the room at E & O Hotel, Penang. Faiza got into her lovely Indian saree while Alex in his Sherwani (hope I get the description right for traditional Indian’s men’s suit).

Then they changed into their kebaya and malay costume, ready for their dinner reception at Peranakan house, Penang. It was also my first time shooting there as well. It was something different from Blue Mansion where I last shot while I was in Penang. Peranakan is definitely another traditional house which I would go again to shoot if there is a chance given!

Two photos taken in India. We did not have enough time to shoot portraits as something misfortune happened a day before the wedding. A relative of Faiza passed away and the funeral was few hours before their akad nikah. Despite that the wedding went on and many of the friends and relatives attended. It was a small village but I think everyone went for the wedding.

While I was in Mexico shooting for Paola and Karsten’s wedding, I have the great opportunity to meet their friends, Andrea and Christoph who had a casual portraiture session with me. It was their first time having photos taken by a professional photographer and they were asking for opinions what should they wear. It was really an honor to be able to help them out. And as for posing, I often tell my clients to be as casual and comfortable so that they look more natural in front of my camera. We had some fun shoots and the colors of building in Mexico really put an ease for me in looking for nice locations. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot, Andrea and Christoph decided to hire me to shoot for their wedding coming September in Munich, Germany. It was another honor to me as they brought their initial wedding date forward so that I could be there to document their wedding. Thanks guys and I can’t wait to be there during Octoberfest in September! Before that, let us feast on some of their photos taken in Queretaro, Mexico.

Before anything else, this was what happened during the proposal which took place last year. Few good friends of mine, Adam, Kenneth, Anna-Rina and Jon were there to document this memorable moment for us – me and my fiancee, Amelyn. I am very grateful for their help and encouragement. The photos below were what was shot by the gang back then, and we loved it a lot.

This year I am very thankful that I have a lovely wife, have moved into a lovely warmth house, preparing for our wedding ceremony in Bali, shooting overseas wedding, and also local weddings which I still and am adore doing it, met new friends, have the encouragement from my family, and passed my Masters! Yippee, I am really really thankful.

Herein, I am posting a video where I did a second propose to Amelyn, where I sang (off tune Making Memories of Us) to her and playing guitar at the same time which I sucked at it and learned less than 10 days. Thanks to Edmund Lee for his crash course…

I knew Kian Mun since we were in Primary school back in Ipoh, Perak. When we reached Secondary school, we used to talk about courting girls and I really missed those schooling days. Now that he is working in US, it is really hard to meet him. Shooting prewedding for him and Kit Mun is really an honor to me. Everything was a rush and we were actually running from one place to another trying to beat those rainy clouds. We covered places from Kota Kemuning – KLIA – Putrajaya. I had the help of my good friend, JON LOW and Chew Yen as the make up artist. Craziness + Fun + Laughter = the following photos…enjoy!
